Question of the Week:
"How can I fight apathy and complacency in my walk with God this week?"
3 Actions or Ideas
1. Start Your Day On Purpose
Before you grab your phone or dive into your to-do list or get distracted (or sleep in!), spend 10 minutes with God. Read a chapter of the Bible (maybe the Proverb of the day, i.e. read whatever chapter corresponds to the day of the month), pray and ask God to help you be alert to apathy and complacency today, and then write down one thing you’re thankful for. This small habit shifts your mindset and sets the tone for the day ahead.
2. Take One Bold Step of Obedience
Identify an area where you’ve been stagnant or ignoring God—maybe it’s apologizing to someone, starting a Bible study, doing a hard, right thing, or confessing a struggle. Take a step toward obedience this week and "Act Like A Man" (1 Cor. 16:13-14). Growth often begins where comfort ends.
3. Join (or Recommit to) a Men's Group
Apathy thrives in isolation. Get around other men who challenge and encourage you to stay strong in your faith. Whether it’s the Fight Club (totally FREE and awesome if I do say so myself!), a men’s group at church, or even just with a trusted friend -- don’t fight this battle alone. Iron sharpens iron. Get connected to fight complacency!
I’m curious...
What’s one area of your life where you’ve felt complacent and one step you can take this week to Get (back) In The Fight?

Why This Matters
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (our Fight Club Prayer verse) reminds us:
“Be on alert; stand firm in the faith; act like men; be strong. Do everything in love.”
Complacency and apathy are subtle enemies that can dull your faith over time. Fighting back requires that you live intentionally, with discipline, and lots of courage. It won't be easy!
But when you take even small steps to break free from spiritual wimpyness, you’re becoming the man God meant for you to be—strong, focused, and living on purpose.
This week, commit to honoring God with your actions this week, pursuing all you do with His strength, and doing it all in love.
Honor, discipline, strength, and joy!
