My phone rang. 

It was a friend in distress.

"Dude...she found out.  My wife found out about what I was doing and looking at online and different women I was talking to.  (sobbing...) She's going to leave me, man!  I just know she's going to leave me this time!"

Ugh.

MAJOR ugh!

What do you say in those moments?

What do you do?

I always feel so inadequate to know how to respond so I just usually pray while they talk and I ask God to break through and speak to us both.

But here's thing:

He and I needed to talk.

But it's not in those moments of sheer panic that it was needed so badly.  It was in the moments and days that led up to that moment that really mattered most.

What I mean is that getting busted by your wife is a consequence that those outside of your life could probably see coming from a mile away.

So why couldn't you?

Because your mind is stuck in fantasy land and the dopamine ride you're on has affected your vision so that you can't see straight while you're there.

I know.

I've been there far too many times myself!

So the critical question for you today is this:

How do you keep from those agonizing moments where it seems like your world is falling apart and your sins finally caught up to you?

You learn to get real and confess it all sooner.

Confess to a friend that you feel super weak.

Confess to him that you are stuck and that you know you're in trouble.

Confess to him that you enjoy sexually acting out like this but you don't know what to do stop.

Confess to a friend exactly what you're doing and the danger that you're in.

I can tell you from personal experience and with many tears that confession to a friend before it's too late, is way easier than confessing to your wife after she finds out you're a liar.

I know it's tough to confess and be vulnerable.

But I promise you, it's WAY better than what's to come later on!

Be bold, act like a man, and find a friend to confess it to today.

Don't wait until it's too late.
