- Nate Whitson -
The way that you see the world changes everything about you.
This is one of the most important sentences that you'll ever read.
I know...sounds a bit dramatic and "braggy" - since those are my words - but I believe it's true.
Let me try to prove it to you and show you why I say that - and more importantly - convince you to do something about it.
You and I (and everyone you know) have a paradigm or worldview. A lens through which we "see things".
Not like the kid in the movie The Sixth Sense could see dead people - but kinda/sorta like that.

Our paradigm is our view of life and how and why it works the way it does. But it isn't something that we think about consciously. It simply undergirds everything and moves us more than we're aware.
Our paradigms are the driving force behind why we do what we do and why we behave the way that we do, whether we know it or not.
- "I can't do that. I don't have what it takes!"
- "If she would do what I need her to do, then everything would be better."
- "It's not my fault!"
- "This is just me. It's how I was made."
Think about it:
If you were to talk this way, how do you think you'd behave?
A: You'd behave in line with these beliefs!
You'd struggle to change.
You'd place the blame and responsibility for your behaviors and attitudes on someone else.
You'd be a victim of what others are doing to you.
You'd be a slave to your genetic wiring with no hope of ever being different.
And this is exactly how so many men live their lives!
Why?
Because the way you see the world changes everything about you!
People who talk that way are reactive people.
They are men who live without power and without hope.
They are stuck in a machine that cannot be changed, and thus, neither can they.
On the other hand, men who see the world from a biblical point of view are proactive people.
Their behaviors and attitudes are products of conscious, deliberate, hopeful beliefs that God says are true.
These are the kind of men who know that God lives in them and, since He's demonstrated how much He loves them (enough to send His Son to die on their behalf!), that there's nothing He cannot do in them or for them.
These men are not blown about with every wind of change.
They have an anchor for their souls that is immovable and, in turn, allows their lives to be moldable into the image of God's Son.
My point is this:
Life affects us all. But our responses change us for the good or for the bad.
How you see the world matters so much more than you may think!
- Do you see every trial and setback as a blessing or a curse?
- Do you see every day as a new opportunity to get better or just another day you 'have to' grind?
- Do you see yourself as a man with great purpose and value or someone who's broken and not worth much to God or others?
Every day you have a choice.
You can see the world from any vantage point you choose.
But just know this: the way you see the world changes everything about you!
Choose to be proactive and see things differently today.
The choice is yours, and how you think matters more than you may have thought!

P.S.
If your inner voice says, “It’s too late for me—I’ve been stuck this way for too long,” don’t believe it.
God’s truth isn’t just for perfect men. (Thankfully!)
It’s for broken ones who are finally ready to see differently and live with purpose again.

You don't have to stay stuck and you don't have to stay the same!
