- Nate Whitson -
When I was stuck and feeling so complacent and apathetic about life, I remember feeling like I just didn't want to do anything!
I didn't want to read.
I didn't want to move.
I didn't want to get better.
I simply didn't feel like doing anything at all.
I know...big-time loser stuff! But that's truly where I was just a few years ago.
But everything began to change with one simple move:
I (literally) began to move. That was it.
I started walking down the road and back and doing just a few minutes of bodyweight exercises each day.
That's it.
That's what kicked off everything for Get In The Fight and altered the course of my life.
It was during that time that I remember listening to a "fitness expert" talk about how the average person just needed "60-75 minutes each day of steady-state cardiovascular movement to change their life!".
I don't know about you, but even today when I'm nowhere near the apathetic mess I was just a few years ago, I think that dude is nuts!
Who has 60-75 minutes a day to exercise and move, let alone with non-stop cardio??
Instead, I think the truth for you is way better than what that nut-job said.
What I did and what I believe you need to do to change everything in your life (and I mean that so sincerely) is this:
Move your body each day for just 10-15 minutes.
That's it.

Warning: here's the hardest part of doing this...
The first 2 minutes!
If you can get yourself to simply start you'll be so glad you did! In fact, you may just want to remind yourself of that every day until this new moving habit kicks in.
Here's why this matters so much and why it can change everything for you.
SOMETHING is so much better than NOTHING!
If you're like me, you talk yourself out of doing something based on how you feel and then you feel like a turd because at the end of the day, you (once again) simply did nothing. Ugh.
When you start doing something instead of nothing - it changes you.
Your mood gets better.
Your mind works better.
Your energy gets better.
In the end, your life gets better.
So here's your challenge: make doing something physically each day (for just 10-15 minutes) the most important priority of your life for this upcoming week.
Don't make it difficult. In fact, I'd highly recommend that you don't do anything crazy if you're just starting out. Instead, just find something you can do even on your worst day. (Check out this system I created to help make it easier.)
- Take a walk at an easy pace. (Bring your wife and/or kids for bonus points!)
- Ride a bike.
- Play basketball, volleyball, pickleball or something else casual and fun to you.
It really doesn't matter at all what you do....just do something!
Something trumps nothing every.single.time - and it just might change your life!

P.S.
What keeps you from moving just 10-15 minutes/day?
What excuses, challenges, or mindset issues do you struggle with the most to make movement a priority in your life?
Email me and let me know. I'm collecting data on this as so many men struggle with this too. I'd love to hear what you think!
