Today (and for the next few days), I want you to do a little experiment with me.
I'll explain that simple idea in just a second. But first...
This newsletter is called the Better Man Newsletter. That's about as straightforward as I could think to say it and title it.
We're all here in this community to become Better Men. Better husbands, better fathers, and better followers of Jesus. Discipleship is what this is all about.
I say that for this reason:
Wouldn't it be nice if it actually became true?
How would it feel to be that better man?
I don't know about you, but that's what I want to experience more and more in my life. It's true that there's no "arriving" - but we ought to be seeing tangible results in our lives as a result of walking in step with Jesus.
So, that's what I want to experiment with and encourage you to do today and for the next few. I want you to do this:
I want you to act as the man you aspire to be.
I want you to mentally engage in this experiment and think about that man in your mind, and then do what he might do.

How would the man who's living life to the fullest...
Wake up in the morning? What would his routine look like?
How would he eat, exercise, and take care of his health?
How would he talk to his wife and interact with her?
How would he be at work?
How would he pray, read his Bible, and take on his day spiritually?
How would he be as a dad? A friend? A leader?
How would the man you'd like to be more like spend his free time?
What would his attitude and demeanor be like?
What habits, routines, and behaviors would he embrace and be disciplined to do each day?
You get the point.
Think through what this man would be like, what he would do, how he would live, and then...act like him for the day (or two).
Lastly, if you're willing, I'd love to hear how it goes after a few days of acting like the man you aspire to be. Email me and let me know how it went, how it impacted you, and what your thoughts are on keeping it up (or what would make it difficult to do so). I'd love to hear!
Ok, now it's time to do the work. Be the man you aspire to be!

P.S.
You don’t have to become the man you aspire to be all at once.
You just have to act like him today.
One conversation, one decision, one habit done on purpose can shift your life and lift your life more than you think.
Small obedience compounds faster than big intentions—especially when you repeat it tomorrow. So, experiment with being the man you're hoping to be and enjoy the process (and progress) this week!
