Those words hit like a punch to the gut.
I overheard them the other day at church - a wife confiding in her friend. Her husband was a "good man" - provided for the family, didn't cheat, went to church.
But somewhere along the way, they'd stopped really talking.
They stopped connecting.
They just might stop existing as a couple now as a result.

Maybe you're checking all the "good husband" boxes too, but that deep connection you once had with your wife feels... distant.

Why This Matters Now
Listen closely: Your wife's heart ❤️ needs daily tending to.
The cost of emotional disconnect is steep if you won't/don't:

3 Proven Steps to Rebuild What's Been Damaged
1. Create Daily Connection
- Set a 10-minute "us time" after work
- No phones, no TV, no kids
- Ask: "What made you smile today? What was hard?"
Small moments build intimate bonds 👈🏻
2. Learn Her Love Language (Again)
- Take the quiz together this week
- Pick ONE way to speak her language every day
- Write it down and set a phone reminder if you have to
Targeted love hits deeper than generic effort 👈🏻
3. Lead in Vulnerability
- Share ONE struggle you're facing - this will help her reconnect with you quickly
- Tell her ONE thing you appreciate so much about her (be specific)
- Pray together before bed (even if it's awkward at first - it probably will be....so what!)
Openness = Connection 👈🏻
Your Next Move
Ask yourself: What's one emotion your wife expressed to you recently that you didn't fully address, acknowledge, or act on?
Then take action: Have that conversation tonight. Just listen. Don't solve anything.
